Speaking with Rick Reeno of BoxingScene.com, Roger Mayweather says that Manny Pacquiao does not want to fight his nephew, Floyd Jr, and showed some questionable judgment in once again accusing Pacquiao of using steroids:
"(Pacquiao) wants to fight to get that money, but he's going to get his ass whooped. First off, in the history of boxing there has never been a guy who was 105-pounds that beat a motherfucker 145-pounds, 135-pounds, 147-pounds, 150-pounds. Everybody know what Pacquiao got in his ass. He got those steroids in his ass, that's it. ... He don't want to fight. My nephew said that he wants to fight him on May 5th, so let that be the fight. If he don't want the fight to happen, then it ain't going to happen."
The Mayweathers -- Floyd Jr, Floyd Sr, and Roger -- are all currently involved in a defamation lawsuit filed by Pacquiao and his legal team for saying things exactly like this, but it's been kind of hard to tell where any of that has gone, and obviously Roger either has no fear of it or he's just crazy enough to say it anyway. Or both.

Whether or not Pacquiao wants the fight may or may not matter. He says he does, but he also made sure to point out it's really not his decision. Earlier, Bob Arum said he'd be willing to cut a deal for the fight if it takes place in late May, which no one can really figure out, as it doesn't seem like there's any real issue with fighting on May 5, now that the cut (oh the cut!) has been dismissed as a valid reason, and now that Arum is saying he'll do it at the MGM Grand and not a temporary outdoor arena.
The fact of the matter is that right now, it's very hard to figure out how, exactly, you can make the case that Bob Arum wants to see this fight happen, or has any legitimate interest in making it happen. He's running out of excuses, so now he's throwing out weird demands like, "No! Not on May 5! Maybe May 26! How does that work for you?" when Floyd may be simply locked in to fighting on May 5, as he has to report for jail time on June 1.

“First off, in the history of boxing there has never been a guy who was 105-pounds that beat a motherfucker 145-pounds, 135-pounds, 147-pounds, 150-pounds.” Actually thats not true, Jimmy Wilde beat fighters who were in several weight classes above him, all while never scaling more than 102 lbs himself, in the boxing booths before he turned pro he was known for fighting opponents who weighed up to 200lbs, therefore Roger Mayweather your argument is invalid.

The best argument against the “weight gain theory” is the simple fact that Pacquiao weighed 106 when he was only 16. What weight did Mayweather fight at in the amateurs when he was 16? 106. It’s certainly not unprecedented for any human to gain weight when he grew up impoverished, matured physically, and then recevied proper training/nutrition.

Cotto did it as well. He fought Ivan Calderon when he was in the amateur ranks.

Yup.

Everytime the Mayweathers get a bit of goodwill from people, they manage to piss it all away.

Damn, Roger
Why not just cut Pacman a check instead? It’s gonna be a lot faster than the court case.
