Yesterday at Bad Left Hook I brought you the story that David Haye was keeping in shape ahead of possible fights against either Klitschko brothers.

As you all know Derek Chisora doesn't hold back with his thoughts, and this time it's no different. Chisora has laughed off David Haye's claims from Monday, that if he got the chance to fight one of the brothers he would once again be Heavyweight champion.

Star-divide

Chisora will go toe-to-toe with Vitali for the WBC belt on Saturday 18th February at the Olympiahalle Munich in Germany. The 28-year-old Londoner told Frankwarrentv that Vitali would knock Haye out if they were to meet in the ring in the future.

Haye had his chance to back up all the pre-fight bull he came out with against Wladimir, but he put up that embarrassing performance and then topped it by blaming it on the injured little toe. I can't see how the British public will forget about that and now he's coming out with the same bull again by saying he will go to war and win his title back against Vitali.

I think it's just embarrassing, Wladimir made a laughing stock out of him and Vitali would knock him out. Haye should stay retired and out of the sport, he had his time and failed on his biggest night, now I'm going to go out there and show him how to fight a Klitschko.

While Haye attempts to keep himself in the limelight, Chisora is working harder than ever in his Finchley Gym with the fight just a month away.

One things for sure I won't be going into the ring like a scared rabbit like Haye did, I'm going to give it everything I've got to win the world title. I'm in great shape, training hard and ready to go right now. This is the most focused and prepared I've been for a fight and I'm looking forward to it. It's a big job, but I'm going to out to Germany with the aim of ending the Klitschko reign of heavyweight boxing, starting with Vitali.

It's pretty clear then by his interview that Chisora won't be inviting Haye to his post-fight after party should he win. 'Del Boy' is well known for voicing his opinions, but trash talking Haye won't get him anywhere against Vitali. Yes fair enough, Haye's excuse and performance were laughable, but he has unified the Crusierweight division and become a Heavyweight Champion. So far Chisora has won the British belt and on the way up the rankings put in a shoddy performance against Tyson Fury - who lets be honest isn't exactly ready for the World elite just yet.

So Derek as much as I would like you to win being a fellow Brit, please shut up for once about the past and concentrate about a bloody hard fight you've got in a month.

I don't really blame him

Chisora needs to promote the fight, and slagging off Haye is a good way to get urself in the headlines.

I like Del Boy. He’s gpt a sense of humor, and I guess I have under rated him as a fighter. He really suprised me with the performance he put in against Helenius. When he is in shape, he brings it.

got*

Yes when he is in shape I think he could challenge most fighters. Whether he is good enough to dethrone the brothers is another story.

i like him slagging off haye, as a fellow brit, though i never expected any different from haye he did give the big talk that most other brits believed in and told me i was wrong when i said klitschko would school him. but haye didnt just big talk like any normal boxer, no. this is david haye. he went over the top and promised beheadings and produced a broken toe :S. the man is an arse and doesnt deserve another klitschko fight which i only want to see for his potential ko. chisora however also doesnt have much achievement to stand on and going around predicting ko’s from vitali he better look closer to home, much as i like chisora if he comes out like he sometimes does and even if he doesnt hes gonna have a rough night with vitali

To be honest, I don’t think Del Boy has done anything wrong here at all. Haye is consistently intimating that upcoming Vitali-Chisora fight is a foregone conclusion by suggesting that Vitali wants to fight him next, which is incredibly disrespectful to Del Boy. I hardly think it’s cause for concern that Dereck isn’t focusing on the upcoming fight; moreover, his comments are pretty fair concerning Haye, who should put up or shut up by now.

my opnion vitali should be fighting the winner of haye v chisora in feb not vitali fighting chisora now, i mean i know there’s not much competition at current heavyweight but neither deserves it, neither has done squat at heavyweight level no matter what haye claims and he should start fighting the likes of arreolla before he steps in the ring with klitschko’s, should he win fair play but he hasnt he’s beaten valuev (arguably), john ruiz and audley whats his face from the fight that lasted nearly as long as his stricly come dancing career

Haye v Arreola

I’d like to see Haye take on Arreola, would be better for him than a long lay-off then a fight with Vitali. To be honest I agree with all the points surrounding Haye – he took things too far, there is promoting a fight and looking a fool. People wanted him to lose just because of his comments which shows what people think of the man.

I’m sure a lot of people will disagree, and certainly he’s not ready to take on a K, but… I think Seth Mitchell from that Amir Khan undercard would be an interesting fight against either brother. He doesn’t have the experience yet to take them on, but certainly his athleticism is on point, and he definitely did an impressive job of swarming Ibragimov.

Personally I think you need someone with sheer athleticism that wants the fight to be over early, otherwise you’re going to get a snore fest like Tomasz Adamek when he took on Vitali. Again, I haven’t seen too many Klitschko fights, so I’m sure someone has a counter argument to this.

That’s really why I thought Haye had an outside shot against Wladimir, and why I think Haye has a better shot against Vitali. I give him little shot against Vitali, for the record, I just have always thought that’s the better matchup. The problem Haye has is internal, or mental. But athletically, and with his speed and power, he actually presents a stylistic problem for them. He just didn’t use any of it against Wladimir.
