Vitali Klitschko defends his WBC heavyweight title today in Munich, Germany, facing Britain's Dereck Chisora in the main event from Olympiahalle.
BoxNation in the U.K. will be going live sometime around 2:30 p.m. EST, while U.S. viewers can watch live on Epix and stream live on EpixHD.com at 4:30 p.m. EST. RTL in Germany is also carrying the card.
Klitschko (43-2, 40 KO) the heavy favorite in the fight, as expected against Chisora (15-2, 9 KO), a brash greenhorn in comparison. The mouthy Brit raised some buzz yesterday by slapping Klitschko during the weigh-in, which Klitschko has promised to repay today in the ring.

As usual, the Klitschko undercard isn't of much interest to most, but here's the lineup:
Heavyweights, 12 Rounds
Johnathon Banks (27-1-1, 18 KO) vs Nicolai Firtha (20-9-1, 8 KO)
Junior Welterweights, 8 Rounds
Serhiy Fedchenko (29-1, 13 KO) vs Laszlo Fazekas (8-0-1, 6 KO)
Featherweights, 8 Rounds
Stephen Smith (12-1, 6 KO) vs Arpad Vass (7-2, 5 KO)
Welterweights, 6 Rounds
Timo Schwartzkopf (5-0, 4 KO) vs Andre Deobald (4-2-2, 3 KO)
Junior Middleweights, 4 Rounds
Tony Harrison (4-0, 4 KO) vs Suleyman Dag (9-31, 4 KO)

BoxNation broadcast
just started.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
David Haye
part of the broadcast team.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
woo!
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Klitschko-Chisora ring walks expected around 4 pm EST
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Now Warren says 5 p.m. EST
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
That sounds more like it – 10pm our time.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
yep
Makes sense since US TV goes on at 4:30 EST
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
A good start by Boxnation, using the Stone Roses – nice.
And then they ruin it by playing some biggidy-biggidy-bong shit.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
The Streets
Haha.
He soon faded into oblivion. :)
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
He was the fella from Birmingham who spoke with a cockney accent, I think?
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
yep thats the one
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
Just watching highlights of Chisora with “the Streets” soundtrack and by God, he wings his punches wide.
Vitali is generally a straight puncher and i just see him taking D apart through the middle.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
That’s pretty much the way I’m seeing it. It could get ugly very quickly.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Haye says he would have avoided the slap. “It was a well-cultured slap, I would say. As far as slaps go, it was top-notch.”
I still think he’s funny.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Yeah, he’s quite amusing. I wish he’d put a suit on though.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Bunce: “We put the Klitschkos on this pedestal, almost like they’re from the U.N. and not the Ukraine. Someone slapping the Klitschkos, it’s like spitting on the Queen Mum. It’s absurd!”
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Haha
I just noticed how big Bunce is. No wonder they call him big daddy.
He’s at least as tall as Haye and, judging by the gut, i reckon he’s tipping the scales at around 18 1/2 stone/ 260lbs approx.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
Yeah, I didn’t know he was that tall either. I usually see him sitting down, or next to other guys whose height I don’t know.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
He's not like, THAT tall....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwzjtJu9wA4
Olbas - February 18, 2012
About the same size as Hopkins. What's Hopkins, about 6'1''?
Olbas - February 18, 2012
Yeah, about. It was a bit surprising to see him right around Haye’s height, though.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Maybe Haye was stooping a little bit, or not standing comfortably.
I wonder what could have caused that?
Insert dodgy David Haye gag here
Olbas - February 18, 2012
Probably was slumped to a side. (sigh) Sore toe joke. Damn it. I try so hard to not make any of those.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
But it's too damn easy.... I'll take some of the blame :)
Olbas - February 18, 2012
Steve Lillis looking about as comfortable conducting an interview as a vicar in a brothel.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Haha
I found it auite uncomfortable when he called Amir Khan Naseem Hamed, then corrected himself, then said it again a few minutes later.
Some would say that’s borderline racism. :)
I bet he loves getting on the lash with Buncey.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
It will never compare to when Jim Rosenthal called Tessa Sanderson a spear thrower. I was genuinely shocked.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Today in the US, we had ESPN run a headline “Chink in the Armor” — about Jeremy Lin and the New York Knicks losing a game.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Really? Was it meant that way or was it just a slip?
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
It’s kind of hard to imagine it being a slip, I think. Just my opinion.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Bloody hell. I find it hard to believe we can still see headlines like that in 2012.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
I saw that and I was super surprised.
Apprentice - February 18, 2012
Fight happening behind Frank Warren as he talks at ringside.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Warren finds Jose Sulaiman a bit questionable. I don’t have enough room for my thoughts on that.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Apparently the judges are expected to be independent and neutral.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Corbett-Fitzsimmons.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Bat Masterson was the timekeeper!
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Creepy shorts, too.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Oh God it’s Jennifer Lopez
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Vastly overrated in the looks department.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
She’s pretty, but not an all-time beauty/sexy thang.
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012 via mobile
7/10 on a good day.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Fair score
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012 via mobile
Going on a beer run
Will be back later.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
enjoy
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
I’d like to mock Chisora for slapping someone, but in truth, that slap probably would’ve floored me.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Chisora being interviewed running down the stairs after the slap is kind of hilarious. Constantly looking back to see if anyone’s behind him. He’s such a goon.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Maybe it’s just me, but he looked really…I don’t like to say scared, but…
He looked more shaken up than Vitali did, let me put it that way.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Agreed. He looked like he was shocked he actually did it
thetruth - February 18, 2012
He normally only hits women.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Or clumsy Finns.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Clumsy, the polite way of saying shite.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
He certainly did. But neither Klitschko is likely to look shook up in general.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
“Where’s my coat??”
thetruth - February 18, 2012
I’m mad, I’ve come to fight. I’m cold.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
If the weather were nicer, I would be too.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Hahaha
thetruth - February 18, 2012
Fantastic to see Paul Smith being used. Great bloke, very knowledgeable and a Liverpool fan. Quality.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
So what the hell’s the plan here for airing fights? Are they going to Denmark for Magee-Markussen at some point prior to Vitali?
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
I think the Magee fight will be after Vitali. Not certain though.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Sounds like it.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Mayweather-Cotto preview. Even makes me excited.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
I think Mayweather’s going to dominate Cotto from start to finish.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Cotto in five!
No but seriously, probably Mayweather dominating from start to finish.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Probably. Cotto would have to find Mayweather to have a chance, and I don’t think he’ll come close.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Cotto!
thetruth - February 18, 2012
Ah, good, getting to some undercard fights. Stephen Smith is up first.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
I was tipping Smith to be a world champion about 5 years ago when he was still in the ams. He’s not quite progressed how I thought he would.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
a few good judges were
maybe not all as early as you though! Wonder what went wrong for him…
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
I still think he’s got the potential, the defeat he suffered might be the making of him.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Hey Scott, still no info on Mayweather-Cotto tickets?
thetruth - February 18, 2012
I don’t know. Shockingly Golden Boy’s not wild about sending me press releases.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
I guess since I think Oscar’s a doofus, they can’t use the free press. Oh well.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Haha. Gotcha
thetruth - February 18, 2012
Well this was an evenly-matched bout.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Reminds of the Dulorme’s great matchup last night
thetruth - February 18, 2012
That was certainly swift from Swifty.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Haye giving boxing wisdom.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Erm err… Ermm d’oh, I forgot who I fighted.
Phill - February 18, 2012
Fortunately, the way Haye fights, he’ll never have to worry about becoming punch-drunk.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Ha!
Phill - February 18, 2012
We have to pay for epix right?
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012 via mobile

At the bingo.
Phill - February 18, 2012
“And what have you got in your jeans?”
Am I watching the right thing here?
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Jim Rosenthal: I saw you in the hotel and you were well edgy.
‘Well edgy’ Jim with the street slang.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
hahah i think he meant genes not jeans, but either way hilarious
thetruth - February 18, 2012
Shows you where my mind is.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Well, with the fighting pedigree of his sons, whether he meant genes or jeans, he does have something impressive in his genes/jeans.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
haha!
thetruth - February 18, 2012
“Muhameed” Ali.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Oh, good. Haye analyzes Klitschko.
Actually, not too bad.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Bunce says they’ll need 80,000 stadium for Vitali-Haye. What a load of shit.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Sounds like something Arum would say
thetruth - February 18, 2012
80,000.00 Turkish lira I think.
Phill - February 18, 2012
Vince exaggerating with the “they would need 80,000 for Vitali-Haye.”
TheDemolitionDan - February 18, 2012 via iPhone app
So is Bunce.
Phill - February 18, 2012
Who the hell is Vince? Bunce, not Vince. Dang phone. Ha.
TheDemolitionDan - February 18, 2012 via iPhone app
That’s auto correct for you!!
Phill - February 18, 2012
Ha ha, yep. It’s been kicking my arse two ways up the street today.
TheDemolitionDan - February 18, 2012 via iPhone app
Listening to these guys, I would almost think that a Haye-Klitschko fight is an exciting future possibility.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
You are watching a network that is bigging the next Cleverly fight. They can do anything.
Eoin_not_ian - February 18, 2012
bigging up
Eoin_not_ian - February 18, 2012
“Do you regret getting your broken toe out after the fight?” Haye does not.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Great… a toe question.
Phill - February 18, 2012
Haye: “I’m not interested in warm-up fights.”
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
“Do you regret getting the broken toe?”
Another inexplicable question. Are all British broadcasts like this?
DrRck - February 18, 2012
BoxNation has a lot of time for gab.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Almost as good as Frye-Laurie.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Haye has been in the gym getting his toe as strong as possible! I’d love to see what exercises they are.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
He’s an expert in Toe-Fu.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Nice!
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
comedy hour on BLH:)
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
Bunce’ voice is getting so high my dog just ran in to the room,
Phill - February 18, 2012
LOL
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
So did I. Arf.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Ah yes. Short, squat Shannon Briggs.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Haye really should be a commentator. He’s not bad.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Clever with his matchmaking? What other heavyweights are there to fight?
thetruth - February 18, 2012
Look, David Haye took on the class of the division when he was A Champion. Audley Harrison, Monte Barrett, John Ruiz, and he lifted his title from the great Valuev.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Haha. I forgot Klitschko has been dodging all the “great” heavyweights, like Valuev and Povetkin
thetruth - February 18, 2012
STAND
Thanks a lot, Jim!
TURN
Adam!
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
How can there be brinkmanship? Haye doesn’t have leverage,
DrRck - February 18, 2012
TURN!
Thanks very much, and back to them triple-hitters upstairs!
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
KLitschko-Johnson.
What was very, very big about Johnsn was not just his "heart.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Boy. I’d pick this Kirk Johnson over just about anyone out there today.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
I’d fight him.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
I’d slap him, step on his toe, and hit him with my belly. I’m 5’9" and 141 pounds.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Well, this is entertaining in a historical kind of way, but I hope the intent is not to try to draw a parallel between Johnson and Chisra.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
I can’t take a whole lot more BoxNation gab right now. Buncey on mute while listening to Primus = gold
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Oh hey, a fight!
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
“Some geezer pushing his head on your head.” Is that what Bunce said?
Does “geezer” mean something else in British English than it means i n American English?
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Yeah – it just means, like, “dude” there.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Ah. Thank you. I thought it was a reference to Klitschko’s age. I was going to write an email protesting ageism.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Serhiy Fedchenko (29-1, 13 KO) vs Laszlo Fazekas (8-0-1, 6 KO) – eight rounds, junior welterweights.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Coming in wearing a yellow rain slicker.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
No, it is not “debatable” if Tim Bradley or Amir Khan is the best junior welterweight in the world. What the fuck
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
I still expect that Khan would wipe the floor with Bradley should they fight.
Duan - February 18, 2012
Someone who looks like the love child of Gene Hackman and Liam Neeson is the ref.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Kaizer Mabuza: THE! South African.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Fedchenko looks pretty good, nice mix of body and head shots.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
He’s an OK fighter.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
He’s decent but needs to step up a level or two in terms of opposition.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Showboating a little already, which I don’t think is a good thing.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Fedchenko 10-9
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Same.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Fazekas just doesn’t look very good. A little off-balance, not much by way of skill or speed.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Who’s co-calling, the fighter, which one?
BoxAnne - February 18, 2012
Paul Smith
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Paul Smith. Liverpool lad from these here parts.
Phill - February 18, 2012
thanks.
BoxAnne - February 18, 2012
Good liverpool lad…………..sounds good on the air.
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
He’s always good when he’s on LFCTV.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Fazekas stinks. but he’s undefeated so you KNOW he’s good. What I want to see is Wladimir vs Malik Scott
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Well, that explains it. I don’t know anything about either of these guys, but that doesn’t stop me from talking.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
I didn’t know Fazekas either. He’s game but looks sorely outclassed to me.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Fedchenko 10-9.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
“problem with the payment system”…. yep, it’s effected my ability to get my wallet out of my arse pocket.
Phill - February 18, 2012
I think I heard “a deferential calm” used as a euphemism for soporific boredom.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Fedchenko 30-27
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Fedchenko, says Paul Smith, looks as though he’s just after the rounds and just trying to look good. ?!
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
He’d look a whole hell of a shitload better if he stopped Fazekas.
Phill - February 18, 2012
Paul Smith says the Klitschkos are “massive in the States.” That must be why they’re on a premium channel no one has.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
In terms of height and weight, he’s right in any country.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Fazekas has been a little more lively this round.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Fedchenko 4-0, 40-36
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
The mention of Wlad v Mormeck made me vomit a little.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
I assume those whistles aren’t fro the two bagger in the corner??
Phill - February 18, 2012

Phill - February 18, 2012
lol so i’m that beiber shit on epixhd, how are y’all watching these fights?
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012
The internet. That’s as much as can be shared.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
oh well i wasn’t implying that. i thought epix were airing the undercard too instead of the random shit i’m watching right now
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012
No Epix doesn’t air undercards. Prepare for hot Dan Rafael action at 4:30 though.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
The Klitschkos are massive in the States, aye Smith? Yeah…sure buddy. Ha.
TheDemolitionDan - February 18, 2012 via iPhone app
kind of funny having beiber playing drums on mute with the new meshuggah track playing instead. ALMOST synchs up perfectly
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012
Just a useless historical observation:
When I was a kid in the 1950s, and boxing rivalled baseball, this is the kind of fight we would watch every weekj. Nothing special, sometimes awful.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
I had no idea you were so old.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Ancient. I remember telling William that Claudius should not be the focus.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
DrRck…………was WW1 as bad as the history books say?
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
The Siege of Constantinople was much worse.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Very wise. Was Jesus as cool as they make him out to be?
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
That’s a good one…………
.Dr Rck……….do you think Kilrain quit in the 75th round against John L??
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
He broke his toe.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
My buddy Thomas Didymus summed it up pretty well in a letter to me. It’s in the Nag Hammadi Library.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Do you think Twitter is overrated, and we should go back to the Morse Code?
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
DrRck is that old he thinks Twitter is a website dedicated to owls.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Sparrows. The site for owls is youhoo.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Hahaha.
You’re on a roll tonight!
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Use mirrors and flash signals using sunlight. When the sun gos down, go to sleep. It worked for million years.
BTW, in case you’re wondering, the greatest invention in history was Liquid Prell.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Hahaha
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
So old, his memories are in black & white. ;-)
Phill - February 18, 2012
I remember when the world switched from black and white to color. We were appalled at the color schemes we’d chosen for our rooms.
And our clothes? OMG. We could have died right there.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
:)
Phill - February 18, 2012
So I have to assume, Dr Rck, that color vision hadn’t been invented when you grew up.
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
Actually, I iinvented it. But I used my powers only for good.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Ah, DrRck
if we were in the same country I would buy you many beers. Properly funny times. Had a break and just caught up :)
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
You must be European. I can tell by your sense of humor, and also by the fact that you appear to like my comments.
I would like to move in with you at my earliest convenience.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
awesome
you won’t need to pay any rent. Just be you. I will keep the fridge well stocked with beer and wine :)
British…US born but grew up the other side of the pond!
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
Rather than just being me, I could repay you with something more substatntial, such asrunken babble.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
I've never been called European before
sounds So much more sophisticated! :)
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
I knew you were/are European by the fact that you offered to buy me “many beers,” which is characteristically European, as opposed to “a shitload,” which is typically American. I can’t imagine wanting anything that would be measured in terms of some unit called a “shit.” Twenty shits of bread? How much bread is that? Could I carry that much, or little, in my pockets or a bag, or would I need a truck? More importantly, how much would a “shitload” of beer be? A jelly jar? A bottle of Five Hour Energy? Would it fill my bathtub?
DrRck - February 18, 2012
So, that is how I knew instantly that you were European.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
that’s not fair to us yanks
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012
I’m an American. I measure things in shitloads, and I fill my bathtub with beer. That’s how I’bve become the man I am today.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Fedchenko shutout through six.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Boring fight.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Scott, could you, perhaps be a little less animated?
Phill - February 18, 2012
Smith is awesome
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
Talking about Earnie Shavers opening the door for him. I’m guessing that was at Yates’s in Liverpool where Shavers used to work on the door.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Yes,
Phill - February 18, 2012
Shavers is a nice bloke. He’s really friendly. He has weird eyes though. I couldn’t tell if he was talking to me, or the bloke next to me.
Phill - February 18, 2012
Ha.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
One eye going to the shops, the other coming back with the change.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Haha!!
Marty f’kin Feldman.
Phill - February 18, 2012
Had it 80-72 for Fedchenko. Fazekas tried but wasn’t near good enough. Took a bit of a beating overall.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
In Germany judging is bad! In the UK you have pros like Howard John Foster, Dave Parris, and the incredible Ian John Lewis.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
I actually think German judging has been pretty decent recently by global standards.
Duan - February 18, 2012
Germany isn’t half as bad as it’s made out to be.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Didn’t catch the scores because they smugly did not read them in English, but Fedchenko won.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
80-72
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
I love how they always show Buster Douglas before a Klitschko fight. Is tonight the night?….no probably not.
tkeithwhite - February 18, 2012
I just don’t get this comparison. Chisora is no Douglas.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Great advert there with Vinnie Jones!
Phill - February 18, 2012
He’s still a soft arse.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
How many subscriptions do you think this Jonathon Banks fight will win Boxnation?
Duan - February 18, 2012
Millions, absolute millions.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
The look on hs face when doing CPR is class.
Phill - February 18, 2012
It’s Banks vs Firtha. Oh goodie
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Would you consider Big Del winning tonight a bigger upset than Rahman beating Lewis?
Duan - February 18, 2012
Yes.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
hmmm I’m not sure about that. Tough one to call. Vitali is really old and Lenny was very, very good.
Duan - February 18, 2012
Actually can you think of a case when a fighter coming off a loss one the heavyweight title. Other than in a direct rematch?
Duan - February 18, 2012
Don’t think so…………………DrRck might be able to better answer about the bare knuckle HW champs
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
Gentleman Jim Corbett was only one away from a no-contest when he KO’d John L. Sullivan, but it was a gloved match by that time. Don’t know how old DrRck is, but we remember a lot of the same things.
BoxAnne - February 18, 2012
Undercard has been grim to say the least.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
It’s so shit, Smith and Rawling are discussing different ways of spelling Jonathon. Oh dear.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Banks-Firtha is the gem I expected.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Sas it all doesn’t it. The fight’s so good, the commentators are discussing the pros and cons of spelling Johnathon with an H.
Phill - February 18, 2012
lol
so not missing out here am I :)
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
Ha! … It’s not that ba zzzzzZZZZZ
Phill - February 18, 2012
I like Paul Smith as a commentator much more than i do as a fighter.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
You’re back with your ale then.
I like Smith a lot.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Me too. I was gutted when Degale beat him.
Phill - February 18, 2012
yes, have got the supplies in.
i like how he describes the action and i agree with him about Price – Fury.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
He’s 100% right about Fury-Price. It’s unfortunate, but what can you do? TV deals are a big issue for these guys, especially promoters like Hennessy and Maloney who only have a couple of “big” fighters.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
I was referring more to who he thought the winner would be, but i agree with what you mention too.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
I must have missed that part – who’d he pick?
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Price.
tkeithwhite - February 18, 2012
Banks caught him a couple times that round. He’s in control. Firtha’s a nice guy, just not good enough.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
You know, I’m not saying he’s great, but is Banks really any worse than someone like Dimitrenko?
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
I think he’s got a tidy style.
I’m trying to remember how the Adamek fight went.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
He was quite competitive vs Adamek.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
He’s more talented than Dimitrenko, I still feel he should be fighting as a cruiserweight though.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
yeah, he looks more cruiser than heavy to me.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
Was an amateur light heavy.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Paul Smith would “love to” visit Detroit. No idea why.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Maybe he is into urban exploring.
tkeithwhite - February 18, 2012
Firtha’s hanging around. Not threatening to win or anything, but hanging around.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
To the UK lads here, C5 has boxing on at 9.55. Eubank jr is fighting.
Phill - February 18, 2012
Plus Booth vs Galahad
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
I completely forgot about that fight until my copy of Boxing News arrived this morning.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Loads of fights flying under the radar today. Loads of fights period.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Kid Galahad should be on “King Arthur” Abraham’s undercard.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
sweet
will get that on.
Hope you’ve been good btw fella
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
Hi Bri. All good mate. You?
Phill - February 18, 2012
not too bad mate
being domestic and trying to keep up on here lol
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
Boxing and cleaning and cooking!
Phill - February 18, 2012
Sounds like my life – boxing, cleaning, cooking, working and up to my eyeballs in legal bullshit.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
I’m Sky+ing that.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
So am I.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Dave
I just thought i’d mention i’ve been working with Karl Place this week.
He’s an apprentice bricklayer on our site as well as doing his boxing.
Nice lad. Quiet and humble and typical of what people say about a lot of boxers.
He’s still only 23 and he’s confident of avenging his loss to Steve Williams, where he says he got stunned by a headbutt, then overwhelmed.
I rated him as a pretty good prospect before the Williams fight, and still do.
He just got caught.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
I remember that one. I liked Place going into that fight, too.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Place seems like a nice lad. I’ve never been massive on him as a prospect, he’s a decent fighter but he doesn’t get my juices flowing.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
I didn’t recognise him at first until somone told me he was a boxer.
He’s got an Audi A3 and im thinking how the fuck can he afford that on apprentice wages. :)
Then i was told his sponsor bought him it.
I think he could get to British title level.
The Williams fight was an eliminator was it not?
Williams is a pretty tough kid domestically though.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
Williams is a decent fighter, certainly no disgrace in losing to him. British level seems about right for Place.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
I should have been clear i was talking domestically/euro level when i said good prospect.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
My patience for this fight has dropped considerably.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
I gt distracted some time ago by trying to catch up with what everyone else has said here.
Also, I believe I will be moving to England soon.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Whoa, Wladimir having words with Chisora’s camp.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Oh, this is TMZ juicy
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
finally something exciting
Shnoobles McShnoobington, Esq. - February 18, 2012
Uh-oh
Paul Smith just went down in my estimations when he said Tyson was hte best heavy of all time. :)
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
heavy actually works fine.
BoxAnne - February 18, 2012
I thought he said he could be Ali? not that he was the greatest
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
I’m sure he said in his opinion Tyson was the best heavy ever, and that he would have beat Ali.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
I’ve always thought, at his best, Tyson would be a huge challenge for Ali……………………..but for longevity, it’s hard to say Tyson is the greatest
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
Styles do make fights.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
I eman, i’m only joking. He’s entitled to his opinion. I just don’t agree with it.
Even the peak Tyson was not up there with the very, very best, imo.
Top 15-20 all time heavies, imo.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
Wladimir says he’s wraps inspector. Arguing with Warren.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Nice mind game by Vitali, sending Wlad as the hand wrap inspector.
Verklemptomaniac - February 18, 2012
It’s what they always do, really. Vitali inspected Haye’s, as they mentioned.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
I’m not a huge Klitschko fan (I like them fine) but I want one of those swank Team Klitschko jogging suits.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
I need a good jogging suit. A Klitschko one is as good as any.
tkeithwhite - February 18, 2012
If you dress in a Klitschko suit, you can do anything.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Chisora took off his wraps and says he doesn’t want to fight?
Not a good sign.
tkeithwhite - February 18, 2012
dude is unstable
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
To be fair, the Klits and German officials are playing silly buggers about the wraps.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
If they’re trying to get into his head, they’re succeeding, sounds like.
BoxAnne - February 18, 2012
They don’t need mind games to upset Chisora’s mindset, he’s bat-shit crazy.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
+1
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
FFS...
It’s not as if Margarito wrapped them, is it.
Phill - February 18, 2012
Yeah, and I think Dean Powell has been around long enough to know how to wrap hands.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Haye really has some balls being there.
I'm going slightly mad - February 18, 2012
Haye says Chisora is in an uproar backstage. Criticizes Klitschko tactics.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Haye should be too embarassed to leave his house after how he failed to deliver on his promises.
What a surprise, he sounds as cocky as ever.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
His toe’s better now. He’s got his mojo back. :)
Phill - February 18, 2012
lol
Olbas - February 18, 2012
Charlie Giles of BBBofC tells John Rawling it’s “been sorted” backstage. No more issues.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Haye: Vitali said, " I had my boxer shorts on, Vitali sadi ’you’ve got a good body but i hate you’"
What?
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
Sounds like a line from Brokeback Mountain.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Haha
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
Hahaha yeah. That was hilarious. Vitali, in his hatred of me, complimented my fit six-pack!
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Warren: “We’ve got a fight. His hands have been wrapped. … It’s all a game.”
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Wow.. Try this. Google “Dr Who Sea Devil” it’s a frank Warren.
Phill - February 18, 2012
I can see the likeness but i’m gonna go with Admiral Ackbar from Star Wars.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
getting in a brit mood and having a massive bowie marathon. this should be starting up soon on epix right?
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012
Ring walks sometime after 5 p.m. EST, probably. Slight delays.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
so it’s the “hot dan rafael action” at 3:30 CT then?
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012
yes
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Whats that from now? Half hour, hour?
Eugene Banks - February 18, 2012
30min
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012
Ok thanks. This undercard works better than sleeping pills
Eugene Banks - February 18, 2012
yeah
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
40 min-ish
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
So has Steve Lillis been around the boxing scene for a while or what, ‘cause I don’t think I’ve seen him before boxnation started? Is he Frank Warren’s cousin or someone he knows from back in the day?
I’m not a fan of his anyway. Never seems to know quite whats happening.
I'm going slightly mad - February 18, 2012
He’s better known as a writer.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
TURN!
Adam!
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Been around for years.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Lillis looks like he’s scared of his own shadow.
It’s probably the DT’s from the marathon booze sessions Buncey drags him on.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
I can just see Lillis, Phil “The Power” Taylor and Buncey knocking back gallons of ale.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
He writes for the Daily Sport i think.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
the Daily Sport has writers???
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
I always love the front page of the son. A terrorist attack has happened and all papers go with that, not the Sport though, they’re going with ‘Busty Mandy’s Lesbo Love Games’. You can’t buy class like that, well you can, for about 20p or however much it costs to buy that shit-rag.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
That should say front page of the sport.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
yeah I was just thinking
and figured what you meant as your correction came in :)
And yeah, who knows who buys the Sport apart from teenagers!
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
It the second worst paper around after the Sun.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
and to think the Sun’s the biggest selling paper in the country…not being bad or snobbish, but I don’t think it says a lot. But then more people read tabloids anyway
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
I won’t have it in my house. The standard of newspapers is depressingly bad.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
yes
agreed.
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
I used to read the Mirror and the Times, both have gone to shit over the past few years. The Mirror still has a few decent columnists though.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
I haven’t bought a paper fr around 6 or 7 years. I prefer to believe what I see than what I read (if that makes sense).
Phill - February 18, 2012
I don’t read newspapers anymore either.
Shite.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
Haha!! I was being diplioautomatic!!!
Phill - February 18, 2012
I’m fine if other people want to, but hardly anyone I know does. I would put the Star second in between the Sun and Sport actually
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
The Star is shocking but I don’t find it offensive as the Sun or the Sport which are just an insult to human intelligence.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
The Sport has writers?
Phill - February 18, 2012
hahah :)
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
Damn… Beat me to it!!
Phill - February 18, 2012
great minds and all that! ;)
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
I was half-joking. :)
But i wouldn’t be surprised. I know one of their sports writers knocks about on the boxing scene.
Might be Kevin someone or other. Can’t remeber his name now.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
120-108, 119-109, 119-109 for Banks
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
'He writes for the Daily Sport i think.'
Sweet Jesus.
I'm going slightly mad - February 18, 2012
He also writes for Boxing Monthly.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Ah. The aperitif. I love Europeans.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
lol
good times. Its actually a shame the fight has to start soon
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
I hope we get string quartets when the anthems are played.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Wladimir just pulled some incredible attitude at Steve Lillis.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Who is this well-to -do old chap?
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
He fought Joe Louis…………went the distance
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
Tommy Farr
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
Ah
He didn’t sound very Welsh.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
Neither does that bint Zeta Douglas……. Or what ever her names are.
Phill - February 18, 2012
yeah
but she’s been out of there for like 20 years or something
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
True Bri :)
Phill - February 18, 2012
Darling Buds Of May
memories :)
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
She looked top notch in that.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
absolutely
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
Perfick,
Phill - February 18, 2012
haha indeed :)
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
Dean Powell fresh off the plane from Benidorm.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
Saw Curtis Cokes at the FNF in Arlington last night. He was the highlight of the night yet said nor did anything, just sat there and waived his hand once when they called his name.
That was one of the most brutal fight cards I’ve watched live. Estrada is one unlikeable creature.
lcollins1 - February 18, 2012
those are some badass gloves that chisora has got on during that press conference
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012
is chris mannix standing on something or is he that tall?
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012
3 or 4 rounds of energy and mental energy? That sounds a bit much.
TheDemolitionDan - February 18, 2012 via iPhone app
A kiss on the cheek would have been more noteworthy than the slap.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
But Vitali would’ve enjoyed that.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
He would’ve returned it.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Whats the deal with Boxnation? Im not a subscriber but can still watch it as of now. I thought this was encripted after half 9
Nonpariel Barry Punchbag - February 18, 2012
Give it time. It’ll switch to ppv soon.
Phill - February 18, 2012
It’s free tonight because they had problems sorting out new subscribers’ sets.
Oli Goldstein - February 18, 2012 via mobile
Really!?
Phill - February 18, 2012
They were having a ton of problems, as I gathered on Twitter. People trying to subscribe but couldn’t.
Fair play to them.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Trying to sign up for the Epix HD free trial…Hit Start Watching 15 min ago and still aint connected me.
Bakuto - February 18, 2012
working for me…
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012
I’m in the same boat man.
lcollins1 - February 18, 2012
apparently this is par for the course with the ole epix.
lcollins1 - February 18, 2012
same
FrontHandMan - February 18, 2012
Mine just came up after 10-15 minutes
Joe Landry - February 18, 2012
Hello gents and ladies (or lady if just BoxAnne is joining us today)
Apprentice - February 18, 2012
Evening.
Dave Oakes - February 18, 2012
Howdy.
TheDemolitionDan - February 18, 2012 via iPhone app
Greetings.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
This is the warmest reception I’ve ever gotten here. Starting the boxing day off correctly! =)
Apprentice - February 18, 2012
I guess we all love our fellows.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Buenos dias
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
easy fella
BrianBrock - February 18, 2012
Hi.
Phill - February 18, 2012
Easy now.
Oli Goldstein - February 18, 2012 via mobile
What does this mean in this context?
Apprentice - February 18, 2012
I'm guessing.
Good evening fine Sir. I trust you are well.
Phill - February 18, 2012
I just ask because to me that means something like “calm down” and obviously it doesn’t fit in this situation
Apprentice - February 18, 2012
I understand. And you’re right, it does to me too.
Phill - February 18, 2012
Haha – sorry it was meant as a form of colloquial speak “hello”! Realise now that it does look a bit funny…
Oli Goldstein - February 18, 2012
haha yeah, i imagined, it was something like that especially considering Brian above also used a variation of it
Apprentice - February 18, 2012
Evenin'
yup I’m here. Looked chancy for a bit, stream fail, came back up.
BoxAnne - February 18, 2012
I think, being a dope, that Klitschko is being a bit disingenuous here. Chisora will most certainly have to get inside.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Buncey has already called it “glovegate”.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
Don’t get hit. I can take that advice.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Hey, first time they’ve ever admitted it.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Is that free or do you have to pay?
Apprentice - February 18, 2012
You can get it with a two-week trial. Not ONCE have they ever been prepared for the server demand. Not one single time. I don’t even bother trying anymore.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
ah okay…well I guess I’ll keep my shady dealings then
Apprentice - February 18, 2012
so that explains the delay on my free trial acceptance
OmarLittle - February 18, 2012
I was having troubles getting it to work until about 5-10 minutes ago, but EPIX is working perfectly for me now.
Sam5001 - February 18, 2012
Bet you’re right.
BoxAnne - February 18, 2012
For Nonpariel Barry Punchbag below.
BoxAnne - February 18, 2012
I can see Chisora getting disqualified. If everything is against him I think he will do something stupid similar to Victor Ortiz
Nonpariel Barry Punchbag - February 18, 2012
Yeah that seems to be the popular opinion. Well, I guess more anticipated than any other fight where there might be a DQ. I’ve got Chisora biting Klitschko’s nipple in the 3rd.
TheDemolitionDan - February 18, 2012 via iPhone app
Maybe, but I don’t see how that would happen. I think Klitschko will jab him, and keep Chisora so far away that there will be no opportunity for a DQ.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Chisora comes off so phony. Like he’s trying to remember the lines he’s rehearsed.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
I’m the king?
Sammlung - February 18, 2012
I’m Ron Burgundy?
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
I find it kinda funny that Haye said Vitali wouldn't look for the knockout
You don’t get the highest knockout rate in heavyweight history without looking for it.
Patrick L. Stumberg - February 18, 2012
run the graphic!
Higher than MARCIANO! Can you believe it, folks?!
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Heee hee. Get ready for next week on FNF. They’ll show that graphic when they talk about this fight and show the highlights.
TheDemolitionDan - February 18, 2012 via iPhone app
I’d like to get to know Apprentice better. Do you mind if I simply post my email address in a reply to him, here?
lcollins1 - February 18, 2012
Didn't see that graphic
Just making a generic observation.
Patrick L. Stumberg - February 18, 2012
Thinly veiled trash talk
That doesnt work at all
IRodC - February 18, 2012
He’s a fuckin tit.
Phill - February 18, 2012
I will take great pleasure in seeing this idiot get KO’d.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
I dont know much about Chisora
But I hate his haircut
IRodC - February 18, 2012
I’m going to have to learn polish…
Apprentice - February 18, 2012
Jeez. Chisora makes for a riveting interview.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
erk epixhd was working fine until you guys mentioned its ineptitude. now it’s constantly buffering
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012
I can’t tell if I got the feed or not. I’ve got Roach, Rafael and some other dude in a booth. Is that what you’re seeing?
lcollins1 - February 18, 2012
yeah that’s it.
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012
They’re discussing the impact of the Chisora slap. You aren’t missing anything
Joe Landry - February 18, 2012
There’s always some people who get in OK early and then it goes to shit. They do this every time. It’s getting close to bait-and-switch. “Sign up! You will see the fight!” And then you never do because it does not work.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
well shit…
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012
Some people are getting it by just waiting a long time.
BoxAnne - February 18, 2012
Well, Chisora was really interested in John Rawling’s interview there…..
Phill - February 18, 2012
Does anybody think Del Boy has a chance here?
Curtis2012 - February 18, 2012
no I
Matt Miller - February 18, 2012
er "not I"
Matt Miller - February 18, 2012
NO
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
No, unless Vitali got really old overnight.
Sammlung - February 18, 2012
Nope!
Phill - February 18, 2012
No. He’s a brawler, and although he’s quick and he goes fr body shots, he has nothing like the skill or size.

I put a grand on Vitali
So no, I don’t think so.
Patrick L. Stumberg - February 18, 2012
Fuck, more insults for the Klitchkos?
Who the fuck else are they supposed to fight, you idiots? What possible matchup exists at heavyweight that hasn’t been summarily obliterated by Vitali or Wlad?
Patrick L. Stumberg - February 18, 2012
It's not that the division is bad
Nope, not at all

In opposite world to Epix and their BS, BoxNation pulls a real stand-up move giving the fight away for free after their payment system screwed up and couldn’t accept new subscribers today.

Fo ranyone who’s interested, the Brian Magee – Rudy Markussen fight should be on BoxNation after Vitali – Chisora.
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
it has also already ended, so for those who don't want to know results
NO SPOILERSfor Magee-Markussen
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
So as a Brit currently stuck in America, am trying to watch it on Epix but stream is failing for me. Anybody know a way to watch it on BoxNation? Can’t watch the BoxNation official stream due to territory issues.
Oh, and Vitali to win on wide points with Chisora wobbled but not down)
Apemantus - February 18, 2012
No stream sharing. sorry.

Fair enough. Suspect will have to give it up as a bad job and hope it ends up online afterwards.

Haye just went through a whole list of things that might lead to a Chisora win, from minimally plausible to wildly surreal.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
" a man that can still put the KO in Klitcshko!"
FrontHandMan - February 18, 2012
If Chisora is mentally in the building, this could be awesome.
Really, really hoping he’s all together in there tonight, because I’m worried he just falls apart.
Oli Goldstein - February 18, 2012
if this was any other country than the incredibly polite Germany, i’m sure the fans would be raining all sorts of debris down on Haye for having the nerve to show his face in their country again.
Different story if the Klits were Argentinean. :)

Chisora
told this story the other day about how he had bought a London cab for £1000, had had work done on it and kitted it out with a mini-bar in the back.
Said he was gonna pay a man to drive him around London.
It’s not liek a London cab is a limo. he would have no room. The driver would just become annoying after a while.
Bad idea, imo. :)
Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
Klitschko ring walks are awesome. These guys couldn’t look more imposing and awe-inspiring if they tried.

Vitali has my favorite entrance in boxing. I love Wladimir’s, but Vitali’s is so menacing — in part because Vitali is menacing.

vitali #1, bute #2 (WHERE THE STREETS HAVE NO NAME), wlad #3, enzo #4 (tom petty ffs), and #5?

Yeah Bute’s would be my #2 as well.

Klitschko vs Chisora Round 1
Chisora coming out and marching forward, throwing his hands. Vitali flicking his jab out. Chisora spins him around a bit as they tie up. Klitschko shoots a right hand after a left lands. Klitschko throwing his right hand, but it’s slow getting off. Klitschko with a jab, then a right. Chisora fires a haymaker and misses, but he’s there to throw back. Chisora gets one in. Tied up, Chisora punching when they’re clinched.
Right to the body from Vitali. Chisora walking into shots now, but not getting hit totally flush. Chisora eats a left hand. Chisora throwing. This is a fight – he’s here to fight. There’s no doubt about that right now.
Vitali with a chopping right hand, then a right to the body, hits some elbow. Left hook is blocked by Chisora. Right hand from Klitschko. That right is warming up. Chisora continues to walk forward. Chisora misses another wild right.
Klitschko 10-9

vitali is going to fuck chisora up, holy shit
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012
Chisora is as game as they come. Struggled to close the distance later in the round – Vitali might have hurt him a little – but Del Boy is a serious fighter.

Chisora has done better than most so far
He hit Vitali with a couple of overhands that landed.

Matt Mosley - February 18, 2012
Klitschko vs Chisora Round 2
Chisora comes out throwing a long, slightly sloppy jab, but again showing no fear. Not being backed down. Vitali chants go up. Vitali with another chopping right, now Chisora letting his hands fly. Chisora takes another little right. He can’t get back very well. I mean, this is interesting, but one man appears clearly better to me.
Left hook Klitschko, then a right hand follows. Chisora gets close on a wild right, clips him with it. Klitschko lands again. Right hand gets in. Chisora starting to jump at him now. Right hand Klitschko. Jab and another right. Another right. Another right. Another right. They’re trying to call this round for Chisora, but, erm, no.
Klitschko 10-9
Klitschko 20-18
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012

Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
Chisora putting in a damn good effort so far
DPlainview - February 18, 2012

Chisora is slipping under the right hand, and coming out on the other side. He needs to throw the left hook when he pulls that off.
lcollins1 - February 18, 2012
VK pretty much doing as he pleases in there.
Phill - February 18, 2012
The beatdown is on now. Chisora is trying, but he’s slow, not powerful, lacks defense and is at a huge height disadvantage. This is not really much of a fight.
SilverLaker - February 18, 2012
Klitschko vs Chisora Round 3
Chisora looks every bit as good here as he did against Helenius, for the record.
Dereck might want to start throwing to the body. Klitschko popping him with that right hand again. Chisora with a left to the body after one upstairs is easily blocked. Uppercut from Klitschko. Chisora eating this stuff, but how long can he?
Shot to the body from Vitali. Right hand again, then Chisora misses a left hook. Right hand from Chisora is blocked. Chisora’s workrate has dipped majorly this round. Klitschko lands again. Chisora jumps with a left hook and misses, then misses a right.
Klitschko 10-9
Klitschko 30-27
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Well, Klit’s winning this clearly, but Chisora’s doing some things right, in there.
lcollins1 - February 18, 2012
He is…….making Klit work harder than normal…………….he’s also going to the body nicely………….
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
10-9 Vitali, 30-27
Chisora walking forward, but not throwing. Just eating shots. Good chin, but he ain’t gonna win like this.
Verklemptomaniac - February 18, 2012
Klitschko has made Chisora look like he really is, whcih is to say entirely mediocre.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Everyone looks that way against Klit………….except LL
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
Del’s left hook to the body is there, if he wants it. This is still exciting to watch. As Don Charles says, he is definitely getting in to range.
Oli Goldstein - February 18, 2012
Is Chis slow, or s Vit looking fast in there?
Phill - February 18, 2012
Klit has the most wooden showboating in all of boxing.
Interesting scrap so far. Chisora forcing Klit to fight at a pace he doesn’t appreciate while getting a minor beating for this troubles. Not familiar enough with Chisora to know if he can maintain that pace while throwing more. I’m guessing not?

Klitschko vs Chisora Round 4
Klitschko landing, Chisora not. Not always the biggest shots, but just doing more. Chisora’s really trying, but the gears are turning now. He’s thinking a lot. Chisora nearly knee clips him on a lunge with the left hook. That could have been Haye’s knee injury Chisora win.
Chisora missing badly again. Klitschko’s volume dropping this round, but he’s still winning the round. Right hand Klitschko. Klitschko successfully tying him up when they get close. Chisora lunges with another left, doesn’t land.
Klitschko 10-9
Klitschko 40-36
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012

Klitschko vs Chisora Round 5
Klitschko moving around a lot. Chisora getting hit with little right hand pot shots, then tied up. Right hand from Klitschko. Another chopping right. Chisora walking him down and then not doing anything with it. Vitali outworking him and outlanding him, even constantly on the back foot.
Chisora throwing now near the end of the round, but he’s tied up again.
Klitschko 10-9
Klitschko 50-45
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
This is getting more interesting just because of its length.

Okay, let’s just skip to the end: 120-108.
SilverLaker - February 18, 2012
10-9 Vitali, 49-46
Same story. When Chisora walks forward without throwing, he gets worked over. When he throws, he stands a chance.
Verklemptomaniac - February 18, 2012
Chisora caught him with some nice body shots there. Not enough volume, but he’s working bloody hard to keep Vitali on the back foot.
Oli Goldstein - February 18, 2012

Klitschko vs Chisora Round 6
Vitali moving around — now walking, though, instead of bouncing. Chisora gets in and lands a few shots. He’s having mild success in close now. Slapping right from Chisora gets in. Klitschko comes back with a right hand, then throws two more but doesn’t land.
Big right from Chisora, Klitschko felt that one. Right to the body from Chisora. Klitschko really going backward this round. Chisora’s pressure is getting results now. Right from Vitali, then a left to the body, but Chisora lands a better shot to the body. Right hand from Vitali.
Chisora tries an uppercut as they tie up. Body shot again from Chisora.
Chisora 10-9
Klitschko 59-55

Klitschko vs Chisora Round 7
Right to the body from Chisora, and he’s really pushing forward now. Right hand Chisora. He seems to smell something here. He’s REALLY coming forward to start the seventh. Caught Klitschko a bit cold. Left hook Chisora.
Chisora eats a right, and man — oh man, Chisora’s really coming alive the last two rounds. Vitali is in a fight here. Klitschko trying to get some distance and take a bit of a breather. But now he’s coming forward and Chisora lets himself get walked into the corner just a bit — perhaps baiting him a bit, and he does come out of there throwing.
Klitschko being worked here. Right hand from Vitali, his best punch in a bit. Chisora walks through it. Left hook, then a right from Vitali. Ending the round well. Chopping right from Vitali gets in just before bell.
Chisora 10-9
Klitschko 68-65

Klitschko vs Chisora Round 8
Chisora just keeps pushing forward, jabbing to the body. Klitschko trying to jab back, but he’s just constantly going back. This has turned into quite a fight. Left hook upstairs from Chisora, Vitali throws a right back. Chisora getting there again and again. Really pushing him back now. The wild swings are clipping him at this point.
Chisora with a left in return. Vitali’s landing, Chisora right back at him. Chisora bangs away to the body a bit, but then a really nice right to the body from Vitali. Klitschko chants coming alive. Right hand Chisora. Klitschko holding on. Hey now. Hey now.
Vitali’s throwing, but he cannot discourage this guy. This is becoming VERY interesting. Right hand from Vitali chops its way in.
Chisora 10-9
Klitscko 77-75

Klitschko vs Chisora Round 9
Chisora still just barreling forward, but not throwing as much in the first minute of this round. Right hand Vitali, and then a better one. Chisora not letting his hands go this round, which is too bad. A minute left in something of a slow round, but slow for this fight is still a good heavyweight round.
Jabbing from Klitschko. right hand Klitschko. Another right! That one got in nicely. Chisora tiring now. Klitschko with another right. Klitschko solidly takes this round in the final minute.
Klitschko 10-9
Klitschko 87-84
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Klit seems to be pushing off effectively now.

Klitschko vs Chisora Round 10
Vitali starting to land again. He might have saved a bit for the final three rounds. Chisora’s output has dropped the last two rounds, too. Right hand Vitali, now bobbing around and avoiding Chisora’s shots.
This has slowed down, and that is favoring Vitali Klitschko in a big way. Chisora sort of one at a time right now. Nice body shot Chisora, and Vitali pops him back with a right. Chisora made a little push in the final minute, but I go to Vitali again.

In a battle between not-ready and getting-old, getting-old will usually win, but it’s still shocking to watch, in a way. Dereck Chisora is about to gain more respect than a fighter on a two-fight losing streak does.
El Destruyo - February 18, 2012
Chisora will get more good fights after this. He has acquitted himself very well.

Klitschko vs Chisora Round 11
Chisora still coming forward. Klitschko still effective going back. Chisora wildly swings, misses. Right hand Vitali. Right hand again. Arm punches for sure now. Not a lot of leverage.
Vitali warned quickly for a rabbit punch. Good shot from Vitali stings Chisora. Another big right from Vitali. He’s taking over again, proving his quality. Chisora just having a lot of trouble putting together any momentum the last few rounds.

They touch gloves to start the round, but I’m not sure how friendly it was.
Vitali throwing hard rights, but missing. body shot from Chisora, then up top. He’s going for the KO. Clips him with a right hand. Klitschko sort of playing it safe here, and rightfully so. The fight is his. No need to get reckless and lose a fight you’ve won.
Little left from Vitali. Chisora bulls him to the ropes. Lunging at him now. Shoots an uppercut, doesn’t come close to landing. Right hand from Vitali, and now they wrestle into the ropes. Chisora swings with everything he has on a right and left, but doesn’t land, and it’s over.
Chisora 10-9

Chisora is good, has a big-time chin, and has heart, but his lack of power really hinders him.

Same guy in both fights, IMO. Just Vitali much better than Helenius.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
118-110
118-110
119-111
Vitali Klitschko by unanimous decision
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
horseshit scores….
Sammlung - February 18, 2012
Those scores were a bit wide.
Phill - February 18, 2012
yeash, even when the final result is right the judging is off
I'm going slightly mad - February 18, 2012
agree………..scores don’t do justice to Del boy’s performance
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
Chisoras an idiot
Sammlung - February 18, 2012
you just gave a great performance don’t be an ass.
Sammlung - February 18, 2012
Those scorecards are pathetic, in all honesty. Del Boy never stood a chance. He didn’t deserve to win, but still.
Oli Goldstein - February 18, 2012
I know, no way in hell Chisora won 2 rounds or less.
Sammlung - February 18, 2012
In England……it’s prob 115-113 Vitali
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
Vitali won………..but del boy made him work very hard
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
Vitali and Chisora jawing again. Someone needs to get Chisora out of here. He’s a clown.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Someone’s gonna swing!
CheCorner - February 18, 2012
We knew Vitali was running out of time, but now we can say he’s approaching borrowed time, taking nothing away from the determined, if not fully seasoned Chisora.
The Haye fight is as good a send-off as any, and even that one seems more dangerous than it did yesterday.
El Destruyo - February 18, 2012
Chisora’s an a$$hole.
DrRck - February 18, 2012
Chisora really needs to grow up. He’s a knobhead.
Phill - February 18, 2012
David Haye how does it feel to watch someone TRY against a Klitschko??
Sammlung - February 18, 2012
Good one!
Phill - February 18, 2012
Haye minimizing Chisora’s performance of course.
Sammlung - February 18, 2012
yea, he’’s probably confused by his effort.
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
+1
DanielAM - February 18, 2012
To be fair, Wladimir did use Chisora twice and bailed on him…
Apprentice - February 18, 2012
no excuse to slap his brother, and spit in his face
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012
no, but he does have a right to be pissed and to confront him about it…
Apprentice - February 18, 2012
true
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012
I'd like to see Chisora v. Vlad
Vlad’s better technically, but I’ve also questioned his chin, and compared to Vit, his heart.
lcollins1 - February 18, 2012
always questioned his chin…
lcollins1 - February 18, 2012
I think Wlad just jabs him to death
ColtJouvet - February 18, 2012
Yep. Wlad a much better boxer than his brother and supposedly more heavy-handed now too.
AP77 - February 18, 2012
Wlad is very underrated in my opinion. He’s a very good fighter.
Sammlung - February 18, 2012
Agreed. His rights also come with more authority than Vitali’s.
bachwards - February 18, 2012
lol @ povetkin being battle tested
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012
he's a battleship?
Cory Braiterman - February 18, 2012
Sunk.
Pops Daniels - February 18, 2012
Wlad should of decked that punk
Eugene Banks - February 18, 2012
i can watch povetkin-huck with this free trial right? don’t have to register again?
battle axe of doom - February 18, 2012
It defies belief that they brought Haye to this production.
So brazen.
I'm going slightly mad - February 18, 2012
They should fine that piece of shit Chisora for the spitting
Patrick L. Stumberg - February 18, 2012
Haye still full of shit.
Phill - February 18, 2012
jeeshh…………cmon Haye, retire
DPlainview - February 18, 2012
he has the blueprint guys! Just like against Wlad…
Sammlung - February 18, 2012
Fuck off Haye
I'm going slightly mad - February 18, 2012
I just saw a comment on another website which says "Chisora got robbed"
I lol’d….
Olbas - February 18, 2012
Haha!
Phill - February 18, 2012
“I have the blueprint…he wouldn’t be standing…” Hmm…now where have we heard that one before? Hmm…
TheDemolitionDan - February 18, 2012 via iPhone app
Bunce, get outta Hayes arse.
I'm going slightly mad - February 18, 2012
haha
Sammlung - February 18, 2012
LMAO! Really wants to make that Haye/Vitali fight happen.
CheCorner - February 18, 2012

Thanks for joining, recap up momentarily.
Scott Christ - February 18, 2012
Chisora’s not giving a bad interview at all. He’s not a nice guy, but he’s a serious fighter and he deserves a lot of respect for that effort, IMO.
