Pick'em Game: Season 10 - Week 7 Standings

There were some big numbers posted this week, with Oli Goldstein (7 for 7, 3 doubles) leading the way with 75.5 points. Correct doubles on Vitali Klitschko and Paul Williams by decision, along with another double on Brian Magee were keys to the impressive tally.

In second spot was TheDemolitionDan (7 for 8, 3 doubles) at 70.5, while Radu (7 for 8, 2 doubles) took third with 61.5. There was a tie for fourth, with Sweet science (4 for 5, 1 double & 1 triple) and bareknuckle.girl (7 for 8, 1 double) both scoring 60.

The rest of the top ten had Nonpariel Barry Punchbag, moidadabum and tencount, all with 51, tacklerford at 50.5 and a tie for tenth with Matt Miller and motowneast at 41.5.

For the second week in a row, tencount stands a top the leaderboard with 157.5 points. Moving up a place into second is Radu with 156, while Sweet science climbs up from twelfth into third with 123.5. Also making big moves were TheDemolitionDan, jumping from a modest twenty-fifth spot into fourth at 117.5 and Oli Goldstein, going all the way from thirtieth into fifth with 116.

Rounding out the overall top ten is Sam5001 at 113, DrHenrik 108, BoxAnne 104, DPlainview 102.5 and moidadabum with 98.

I genuinely believed that Campillo would outbox Cloud but end up robbed, which sadly accounted for my selection. Having made the mistake of backing Matthysse to beat Alexander last year, it’s a sad fact of boxing that we actually have to take into consideration the potential for a robbery.

Yes, exactly the same here, I expected Campillo to be too good for Cloud to overwhelm and I also expected that if it went the full 12 rounds Cloud would get the decision irrespective of the reality in the ring. I actually had a double on it :(

I only bet underdogs, and this weekend was not a great day for underdogs. Think I bed a double on Adonis for being the man though and that’s what kept me positive… at 1.5.
