Even though Vitali Klitschko has a gnawing, ego-driven desire to rematch Dereck Chisora in order to punish him and knock him out a second time around, Klitschko manager Bernd Boente has ruled out the possibility:
"A rematch is absolutely inconceivable and won't happen," Boente said. "Of course, Vitali has been affected emotionally, but a fight is not up for discussion and we will not offer Chisora a further platform."
Klitschko (44-2, 40 KO) is planning a September return to the ring following some rehab for a shoulder injury suffered in the fight, and at 40 may be in his final year of boxing, particularly if he becomes Mayor of Kiev in the election this year, as he's said he won't do both a political career and boxing, probably because he plans to actually be a real politician.
Chisora (15-3, 9 KO) still has to deal with a March 14 meeting with the British Boxing Board of Control, which could choose to suspend him for a period of time and limit any options for the remainder of 2012. He's got one hell of an odd career path right now, and I figure someday, when people just look at BoxRec 3000 or the like, no one will really understand why he even fought Klitschko in the first place.

But it does not appear we'll be getting a rematch, and I don't think anyone really expected one, either. Giving Chisora another chance seems ultimately somewhat pointless. That's not to say Chisora couldn't fight Wladimir, who has a few bones to pick with the Brit, too, after "Del Boy" spat in his face before the fight, and that might be more interesting for most folks right now anyway.

I like the “not giving a platform” idea. Chisora should not be rewarded for his antics with another big payday, and even more importantly, with another set of high-profile press conferences where he can abuse all known forms of common sense.
If somehow we could get him in the ring while keeping him completely isolated for 3 months before and after the fight, that would be ideal.

I have to agree, although I voted in favor of a rematch, because I gave in to my decidedly primitive desire to see him thoroughly pounded.
Maybe he could be sedated for the period in question. I imagine that this would create several other problems, however.

however,
from what I understand, the kid could have some tools/attributes—if properly developed—to be good.
That’s what I’d like to see: A heavyweight get into the best training hands possible, learn his craft, stay in shape—
Oh yeah, the Klits already do that. So how about somebody other than them trying it out?
And who cares about a little slapping, spitting, and Haye chasing: Sounds like a decent Saturday night.
Now Carlos Monzon, women, and windows—that = trouble.

Was it a good fight? Yes. Do we need to see a rematch? No.
People want’s a rematch because of what happened before the fight, not because of the fight itself. Yes Chisora was doing good, he was better than most of the opponents Vitali faced before but it’s still not a reason. The fight result wasn’t controversial or anything.
But I do understand DrRck, I really wish to see someone beat hardly Chisora.

It’s nice to be understood, or in my case as the village idiot, even noticed.
Much of my interest had to do, as you noted, with the antics leading up to and after the fight. But I wouldn’t want to see another Haye fight on similar grounds. The added element for me is that Chisora did better than previous opponents, but the issue of Klitschko’s shoulder muddies this a bit.
Still, I would also like to see graceful and gracious expertise thump the hell out of cement-headed brutality.

I don’t care if we see a rematch or not, but I thoroughly hate HATE all managers that sound like their fighters are little children. For God’s sakes, Vitali Klitchsko is a multilingual 40 year old Ph.D. and 1b top HW in the world… he can make his own decisions. If he wants to pound Chisora’s face, BUTT OFF Bernd Boente, imbecile.
