British bantamweight Lee Haskins is looking for a world title opportunity from anyone in 2012, and if he can win will make boxing history. No British boxer has ever won a World Title at Super Flyweight.
Haskins (25-2-0 11KO's) is up there with the best in Europe and held the British Super Flyweight Title for over three years. He also has a win over current European Bantamweight champion Jamie McDonnell.

At the moment Haskins is rated in the top 15 of all four major governing bodies, and is determined to prove his class and get the shot he thinks he deserves.
"I have run out of challengers in Europe and now want to show the world that I am ready," said Haskins. "The Japanese and Thai World Champions seem to keep taking the easy options so I am hoping one of the Mexican World Champions will take up my challenge.
"South Americans pride themselves on honour, bravery and fighting the best. So I am hoping they will accept my challenge and not hide away."
Haskins' long term manager Chris Sanigar believes Haskins is more than ready to step up to the challenge.
"Lee deserves his chance and has proved his ability as a world contender the hard way," he said. "Lee is a promotional free agent and willing to travel anywhere for a shot at either a Super flyweight or Bantamweight world title. We see Abner Mares, Anselmo Moreno, Jorge Arce, Omar Novarez, and Rodrigo Guerrero are all seeking opponents for defences so my message to their promoters is, there no need to keep looking, Haskins is ready!"
Hopefully Haskins can get himself a world title fight in 2012. Maybe he could have more fight to get the sharpness back and fight fitness, as his last outing was back in July 2011. Then who knows, he is up there waiting for a shot and could get his just reward.

What the heck is that belt on his left shoulder? Did he find it at the end of a rainbow? Did he fight a leprechaun for it? Did he beat a pegasus for the Equestria bantampony title?

I imagine the colours represent the different nations.

I must admit it is quite crappy.

It’s not too bad, but can’t compare to the awesomely cool Lonsdale.

I have always liked the Lonsdale. It’s got a classy, vintage look to it, similar to the Ring belt.

best looking belt in boxing

The Lonsdale belt is one of the most beautiful things in the world.
I hope Haskins get a world title shot and earns himself a few quid, but he’ll be in deep against the likes of Mares, Arce, Novarez and Moreno. That’s a big leap in class from facing your McDonnell’s and Broadhurst’s.

Yeah he be in deep alright,…..deep shit. :)
No offence meant to him, i’m just jesting, and he is a good fighter up to a certain level, but he won’t be able to cut it with those guys, imo.
Saying that, maybe he could give Arce a good fight.
He’s got no chance against the likes of Mares or Moreno though, imo.

I suppose he's not undeserving
But he’s a fringe contender at best on the international stage.
